General Job Description:

The intern will assist in developing and carrying out fundraising for non-profit clients including; grant research and writing, major donor solicitation, direct mail/marketing, social media and public relations efforts, special event planning, and other fundraising tasks.

Specific Responsibilities may include:

1.      Research and write grants

2.      Assist in grant reporting

3.      Donation processing and acknowledgement letter generation

4.      Update marketing materials, maintain social media and website, perform public relations efforts

5.      Write content for monthly e-newsletter and quarterly newsletter

6.      Assist in special event coordination and implementation

7.      Prospect research for major donors (individuals and corporations)

Qualifications:

1.      Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills

2.      Ability to work a flexible Monday through Friday schedule with occasional need for assistance during special events

3.      Excellent research, writing, and editing skills

4.      Understanding of finances and fundraising for a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization

5.      General computer, database, and organizational skills

6.      Graphic design skills a plus

7.      Ability to multi-task

Note:  This is an internship that offers the ability to earn college credits and gain valuable non-profit development and fundraising experience.   Pay negotiable.
